At the start of October over 40 TY and 5th years travelled west to Coláiste Uisce in Belmullet, Co. Mayo to spend a few days in the Gaeltacht. We were excited to get this yearly trip up and running again after the few years of Covid and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We spent 3 days in the Gaeltacht, during this time our students got to experience surfing, pier jumping, raft-building and so many other team activities. They braved the cold waters of the Atlantic while learning cupla focail at the same time. Along with the water activities, students also took part in some great land activities, practicing their wall-climbing skills and archery too. We all left Mayo with Mayo with some great memories, a few more water sports skills and a little more Gaeilge too.
