Interview with one of our 1st Year Students

Name and Age: My name is Jake and I’m 12 years old

Hobbies and Interests: My hobbies are playing football and running. I also like to game too.

What were you nervous about before starting secondary school?

I was mainly worried about friends but this school was just great. You kind of leave all your worries behind. Everyone is very kind and helpful and you just have to be outgoing and talk to people.

How has your experience of 1st year been so far?

Honestly, it has been amazing. I think it is better than primary school. Every hour you get to stretch your legs to go to your next class. I love going class to class.

What do you like most about life in TCS?

First of all you get free hot food. You get a breakfast, snack and a dinner. Every morning I get to pick from sausage rolls, hashbrowns, pancakes, croissants and much more. For dinner sometimes I get curry or bangers and mash. The subject choice is great too.

What is your favourite subject and why?

My favourite subject is woodwork. Woodwork is a very interesting and cool subject. You get to use drills, saws, hammers and other tools.

What was the biggest change from primary school?

The biggest change is all of the different subjects you can chose from. Moving on can be hard at first but things get easier as you go. Just listen, keep your head down and try your best at everything.
