TY Trip to Bohernabreena Reservoir

TY Trip to Bohernabreena Reservoir

This week, TY students got to go on their first trip of the year. We went to the Bohernabreena Reservoir on Thursday the 20th of November. The year group met together that morning by the reservoir instead of heading into school and headed off on our hike for the day. We walked the upper Bohernabreena Reservoir loop which is about 9km long. It is filled with stunning views of the two lakes and the surrounding area. We also got to see local wildlife, such as deer. I would recommend this walking route to others as both a fitness or leisure walk as it was very enjoyable. It was suitable for all abilities with only a small inclines at some parts.

We got to see lots of things and beautiful views that sometimes you would sometimes forget are right on your doorstep in such a built-up area like Tallaght. TCS is very lucky to be so close to great amenities like this nearby. We are lucky to be able to go on a trip like this even with restrictions in place and to be able to have a sense of normality amongst everything going on. It was nice to be able to leave school and to spend time with our year group as a whole.
