Earlier this month we held the first ever Transition Year Subject Choice Fair at Tallaght Community School. The initiative was to support our TY students as they think about what subjects to take on for their senior cycle but to do it in a fun and interactive way. Our students are fortunate in TCS we have a broad range of subjects our student can take on.
We had great support from our teachers with many of them creating displays and they were available for students with questions. Some subject stands included fun demonstrations. Giving TY students clarity around what subjects to take on for senior cycle is important and based on the feedback from the event we can say ‘mission accomplished!’. The energy and excitement at an in-person event was fantastic to see and we look forward to building on the success for next year.
