Trip to Dundrum

Trip to Dundrum

On Tuesday the 18th of December our Transition Year students and LCAs went to Dundrum for our annual Christmas. Students got the chance to do some shopping and then headed to the cinema to see a good classic Christmas movie, “Home Alone”. Here are two Student’s account on their experiences on this trip.

I was really excited to go on this trip with my year, which was amazing! We all got our drinks and popcorn while we were watching “Home Alone”. The movie was great! And it was a long time since we watched it. After the movies, my friends and I all went to Penny’s just to get some stuff for Christmas! After that we went to Starbucks so we could get hot chocolate, we then went to Eason’s to look at some books. Soon we all got hungry and went to MacDonald's to get some food. I got tired and sat near the water and had a good chat with friends. With the Whole Pandemic bothering the students I think this made people a lot happier and took their minds off it for a little bit!

The trip was a great experience and a good way to spend time with my friends, while also getting a break from school. We walked around dundrum did some shopping and then near enough to the end of the day we went for food. All in all, it was nice to take a break and forget about the realities of the world we are living in today and, I think it lifted everyone's spirits just a little. The cinema was really interesting and it was a great experience to see an old classic film on the big screen surrounded by my friends.
